TURKISH CONSULATE
Dear Fatih, Thank you for including me and my wife in the Iftaar dinner at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel last Thursday. I was proud to be present at such a well organized, dignified, and beautifully presented program on Turkish culture.
First the continuously running background video of our beautiful Turkey was a great idea.As with the entire program.information was available and presented so that quests were able to feel comfortable and to get to know each other as well as receive information on our culture. Througout the dinner, various guests at our table would interrupt other conversation to ask about or comment on sights from the video.
The introduction of the Iftaar and its place in our religion was simply and clearly presented which allowed those who had no knowledge of our religion to participate comfortably and to see the links among religions. You represented our culture well and are building tolerance, love and respect. As we left last Thursday, I observed that not a single quest left without projecting the feeling of having been included, loved and respected that evening. You certainly achived your goal of bridging cultures and promoting friendship in a magnificent fashion. I and Mrs.Kiratli thank you again for ingluding us and wish every success in your endeavors. Most Sincerely, Prof. Cenap Kiratli If you want to see original version of the letter, click here |
