 Dr. Hulusi CINAR gave our 45 members a seminar which is about Obesity and Diet on April 24th in MARTI.
Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health. It is defined by body mass index (BMI) and further evaluated in terms of fat distribution via the waist–hip ratio and total cardiovascular risk factors.

 We paid a visit to the office of Secretary of State John P. McDonough to follow up Turkish-American Night that was held at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis last February. The reception was a huge success, and drew attention to the local cultural activities of the bustling Turkish community in Maryland. Secretary McDonough pointed to the ways and venues to improve local interactions as well as build bridges between Turkey and Maryland.

 We are having dinners with our valuable members on Saturday evenings. We invite all our members to this wonderful event.

 We celebrated Eid Al-Adha on Saturday, November 28 with our members. More than two hundered and fourty people enjoyed celebrating the Eid.

 We watched Ice Age 3 in a movie theater on July 15th with about 10 kids and 3 parents.

 In the evening of July 11th, we had a movie night where about 35 people attended. Popcorn, sunflower seeds, tea, and sofa was among the served.
