MARTI organized an open house in 27th of March after it has moved to its office in Halethorpe. This open house has been announced on the website and all people living in the area are invited. A speech is given by the President Hasan Kumbasar at the open house. President Mr. Kumbasar stated that MARTI had already organized activities and events in the past under an informal structure. The foundation of MARTI was just to name this informal structure. He also added that the aims of MARTI are to provide services for Turkish people and promote Turkish culture in the area by organizing various activities including exhibitions, seminars and classes. At this open house guests are served Turkish borek and baklava along with Turkish tea. A slide show introducing MARTI is also presented throughout the event.
