The worst disaster of the century occurred in December 26th in south Asian, with a death toll of some 157.000, leaving 1.5 million people homeless. Asian Development Bank estimated that 2 million people will become poor. Health Institutions warn that contagious disease may double. There no rooms available in hospitals; people are diagnosed in hospital corridors, and contagious diseases spread day by day. These are typical daily news that we are watching on tv’s and reading in the newspapers every day.
Especially, we all know that people in Ace area of Indonesia where the earthquake hit the most are historically very close to Turkey, and Turkish people. We always remember the phrase: “True friend is recognized during hardship” as a nation, which faced a big earthquake lately.
